December 1st, Margaret River

Update time! Sorry I didn’t update earlier, but the WiFi at the ranch is terrible and honestly I didn’t really have the time to write anything.

Yesterday when I arrived at the ranch I sat down and had a talk with Brent, the big boss. He explained to me what I would be doing at the ranch in exchange for room and accomodation, and maybe a couple months in I would get payed if I delivered good work. For the first couple of weeks/months I am going to be doing all sorts of different jobs around the farm. Today, for example, I started splitting wood (trees that are chopped down and cut into chunks, make them even smaller chunks for in a fireplace) and cleaning my caravan. Yes, I live in a caravan now, and it’s pretty awesome!

One thing I really have to get used to is the Australian accent. I can’t understand half of what they’re saying! I hope this gets better soon because I’m gonna need to be able to understand them.

Funny thing, last night me and two other girls from here went to see Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them in the cinema. Normally, going to the cinema would be a maximum of 10 minutes by car right? From the ranch, we had to drive 40 minutes to get to the closest cinema! How weird is that! Also, I don’t have cell reception, so no 4G internet. That’s why I’m very slow to reply to your messages guys, sorry!!!

Concering my blog: I’m going to try to update as much as possible, but please understand if it takes a while! I’m not used to life without proper WiFi but I’ll get used to it, I just hope that you guys will also understand if it takes a while for me to update or respond to anything…

Alright I’m gonna close, I’m out of inspiration to write. I hope to reach out to everyone soon, I’ll try to go to town as soon as possible, then at least I’ll have cell reception and I will be able to send you all some messages and pictures!
